Being an American is having leadership, honorable, and righteousness. Having the freedom and aspects of living life.

What does it mean to “Be An American?” A commonly asked question with a bunch of right answers. Being an American is the right to have the freedom according to the 10 Commandments or the Bill Of Rights in the constitution. Having the freedom of speech, press, religion, and petition. Being an American is having a society to back you up and have your back on great decisions for your country. The smell of fresh food, school, and just being with friends. It's the people who make up America. Being an American is having leadership,  being honorable, and righteousness.

Leadership, the action of leading a group of people or an organization. Leadership is having the power to leading someone, right? Well, in America we have ALL different sorts of leadership. One example is our former President, Barack Obama. People around the world look to American for Leadership.

Honorship, we need to honor and notice of first responders. Those are police officers, firefighters, and even military personnel. For example, when I went to school in Krum, we had a special program for Veteran's Day  every year at out local high school. All schools in the  district came, heard, and honored our Veterans that served our country. It was a thank you because they risk their lives for us. A lot of people take our first responders for granted, and they don't understand that the life they have is because of them.

Righteousness, in America we have a lot of righteousness. Along with righteousness, we also have freedom, the freedom of religion, life, people, and justice. Freedom is amazing. Having the freedom to speak, freedom to go to school, freedom to have the  friends you choose. The freedom of religion is a true blessing. For example, would you like to be separated from the Blacks, Mexicans, and other races of people? Would you like to go to one church that you don't understand and you don't relate to them? Do you really want your kids to grow up in a world like that?

To conclude, what does it mean to be an American? Being an American is having leadership, honorable, and righteousness. Within leading someone or a group of people, honoring people who deserve an inexplicable amount of honor, and having all the freedom in the world. Being an American is an amazing factor.
