My American Creed

This is what I think being an American is...

By Marco N. from Crownover in Texas

Being an American means to be free. To have life by the choice. You are provided for whatever you need, and it’s up to you to choose what you want in life. If you ever need help, you are covered by determined policemen and hospitals are all around the place. This shows that being an American is a gift, a true blessing, and you should be very proud and thankful to be one!

Something that’s great about being an American is that you are granted with 27 amendments that promote your freedom including, freedom of speech, press, religion, and so much more. You don’t have to feel bad, here, in America, the land of the free. Having freedom is one of the best things a human could have, and the list of freedoms you have just by being an American is surprising!

Something else that is great about being an American is that you have the right to feel safe, because you are always protected by determined policemen that are up and ready to help you for whatever need, an amazing Depot of Defense, and the strongest army in the world to protect you from the harsh outside world. If you ever need it, you have help right around the corner.

Another great thing about being an American is that you are given the chance to live your life to the fullest and to its maximum potential by having the choice of college, and what you want to study for. This meaning that you can have life your way. Choose whatever job you want.

This shows that being an American is a gift, a true blessing. You are granted with 27 amendments that promote your freedom. You are protected by the best army in the world. You are given the choice of college. The list goes on. Isn’t that great? Lucky me, lucky you. Being an American is like being in the winning team in a baseball game. Whether you are black, brown, grey, white, purple, etc. you are still an American and should feel proud to be one!
