American Creed: Education is the Key

Education is the key to success in America and most likely the world.

By Joseph from ASU Preparatory Academy in Arizona

Education is the most important thing in the U.S. , it will be needed to have a good life in America. Education is key to success now because you can’t get a job without a degree nowadays and it is really expensive to get into a university, so that tells you a lot about how important it is for a good education. The tuition for one of the best universities is $63,025 this is a hefty price to pay for a great education. Education is also a great weapon to fight ignorance, as Nelson Mandela said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” if someone believes something that is false you can correct them with information learned through education. Education conquers a lot in the United States because it allows you to have great opportunities so you can do what you want to do in your life. This is my American Creed for my family and I. My family is always on my case about having my grades up so I can get a scholarship to a good university and get a good education. My mom was the only person in her family to get a further education than just high school, but she didn’t finish college and every once in a while she says that she wished that she stayed in college. My mom is the one who is really all about education because she felt first hand how much education is worth in America. She is the one who has taught me that this is my American Creed.
